Ms. Kim Manning Ursetta is a Kindergarten ELS –S (bilingual) Teacher at the teacher-led Mathematics and Science Leadership Academy in Denver, CO. She holds her National Board Certification and has been teaching for 23 years. Prior to this position, she served as president of the Denver Classroom Teachers Association.
Ms. Manning Ursetta has been actively involved in promoting quality teaching and learning at the local, state, and national level. She has served in various capacities including as an Ambassador for Teacher Powered Schools, and on Colorado Governor Ritter’s Quality Teaching Commission. She also served on the NEA Professional Standards and the Board of Directors of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
Ms. Manning Ursetta is originally from Slippery Rock, PA. She earned her undergraduate degrees in Elementary Education and Spanish at Shippensburg University of PA. Her Masters degree is in Education, Equity and Cultural Diversity with an emphasis in Early Spanish Literacy from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She has four children who all attend Denver Public Schools.
